This comfortable and sympathetically converted holiday cottage lies just a mile from the Heritage coastline of Dorset. Adjoining an old stone barn located in the middle of the owner’s farm, the cottage is surrounded by open countryside, with walking from the door.
Spacious beamed living/dining room with rugs on wooden floor. Spacious kitchen with breakfast area, quarry-tiled floor and stable door to enclosed garden. Double bedroom. Shower room with toilet. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft sleigh bed and sofa-bed (for +1 child only). Twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet.

#152 Lovely, quiet, farmyard position.
There were comings and goings of the equestrian people using the farm but they were always friendly. Nice secure garden for young children. Lots of birds from buzzards to sparrows. Nice walks from the front door; especially to White Horse Hill with it’s fantastic views over Weymouth and Portland. The beaches were mostly pebbly with some little patches of sand. Weymouth was the only truly sandy beach we found but Osmington Mills had the attraction of the Smugglers Inn. Pay £5 for the car park but get it refunded at the bar. Sea Life centre at Weymouth is not a wet weather visit. There is quite a lot of outside bits, especially a water playground for children with fountains, slides, paddling pool etc. Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens are wonderful with a very good tea room. Bennetts Water Gardens are good for a hour on a nice day. July 2011.
