#174 Absolutely perfect villa
We just had the privilege of spending 9 nights at Villa Charmant. Ann and Peter were fantastic to deal with from the booking process, to the airport pickup to the restaurant tips to providing a baby cot. They were so enthusiastic and you could tell that they would do anything to make our stay enjoyable. The villa has been beautifully finished with many really nice touches. You really feel like you are staying in a home and not just a quickly put together rental. The bedrooms are lovely with AC, flat screen TVs, cozy linens and beautiful bathrooms (partial outdoor shower, large soaker tub) Everything has been thought of from food in the fridge when we arrived to mosquito coils to DVDs available to plush beach towels. The location of the villa is perfect. We travelled with our 3 young kids (4, 2, infant) and the kids had trouble choosing between the beach or the pool. Bangrak is a lot quieter than Chewang (which is a good thing), but there are still great restaurants right outside your front door. We loved Tam Thai next door (they even served dinners to us on the villa's patio), U2, and Ocean 11. Across the street there is an excellent lady that does Thai massage. The pool is great for young kids. It has a shallow area at one end that is perfect for toddlers, the large windows allow parents to watch kids from inside and since there is only one main point of exit from the villa, we could keep an eye on the kids easily. We had the villa cleaned a couple of times while we were there and it was great to come home to a pristine place. You definitely do not need a car for this villa (one of the reasons we picked it) as it is right in the middle of Bangrak beach. We did rent a car for a few days to tour around the island, but we ended up not doing that much touring because we wanted to just hang out at the villa.
